Hi! You've reached Isabel Evans. I'm not here right now. You know what to do at the beep.
Isabel tried not to think about the fact that things were quiet for the moment. Quiet was good. Quiet was wonderful in fact. But thinking about it too much was the surest way to wind up with the demon of the week shimmering in to break another table.

Instead she was going to focus on the fact that Victor was out of town, Victoria was sleeping, and she and Wyatt had the house to themselves for the night.

Just in time for the The Meandering Deceased finale.
When you're pregnant with a half-alien, half witch/Whitelighter baby, regular prenatal care just wasn't going to cut it. Which was why Isabel and Wyatt had been making regular trips to the more alien friendly future for the last nine months.

But now the big day was here and Miss Victoria Maureen Halliwell was ready to make her appearance.

Eventually....

[Wee OCD! For the Newtech residents & any other family or friends that want to be there for the big day.]
Isabel was finishing up wrapping a few last minute gifts before she and Wyatt headed out to Roswell for Christmas Eve with her family. But before they left for the insanity, there was one thing she needed his help with.

"Hey Wyatt? Can you come here for a minute?"

Filling Parker in
Isabel was still mumbling under her breath when she banged through the door of her apartment. Ignoring anyone else that might be around, she headed straight for the kitchen and the pint of Hagen-Daaz that was hidden in the back of the freezer.

"Don't understand my ass. I understand damn well. You're an idiot."

She stabbed the spoon into the container and decided that it was one of those time where drowning her angst in ice cream was the only acceptable solution.
Upset over what had happened between Johnny and Savannah, Isabel hadn't slept well the night before. Around seven she gave up trying to sleep and decided to get up and start the day.

Since she didn't have any easy solutions to the situation, Isabel decided to go for the Nolan method of coping in a difficult situation and cook breakfast.

And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
Having her college graduation happen on the same weekend as Mother's Day weekend meant a lot of celebrating. There had been a post ceremony dinner where Max complained about the lack of entertainment at this ceremony versus the one at Fandom four years early. Both Isabel & Wyatt had thrown rolls from the bread basket at him. Blowing bubbles and batting a beach ball about the amongst the graduate chairs was more fun the beating up fairies and fighting for your life. Mostly. Okay, maybe Isabel did feel a little nostalgic for graduation battle when some of the speeches dragged on.

Sunday and Mother's day meant brunch and then tourist time on the Strip with her parents.

All and all, it was a great weekend.

But now everyone had gone home and Isabel was content to settle in on the couch and work on some wedding plans.

[Damn, my girl's a college graduate as of this weekend. For phone calls, emails, surprise visits or the fiancee if he's around.]

For a change, fortune had smiled on Isabel's weekend plans. She had only a little bit of classwork to do, she didn't have to work until Monday evening, and for once the demon population of a future version of San Francisco had decided to lay low for a while which meant Wyatt was sprawled next to her for snuggling purposes.

Sleepily, Isabel contemplated the clock, decided it was too early for coffee and rolled back over to go to sleep. There was a quiet weekend to look forward to.

She had no idea what was happening in Fandom.

Isabel's Valentine Day plans included a quiet dinner in with Wyatt and a movie or two.

Until he turned up, she was supposed to be working on a paper for class, or maybe looking through some wedding idea websites. Except she'd been distracted by a link that turned up in Twitter feed.

She was going to lose hours reading the posts. Hours!

So last week had pretty much sucked. What with the fighting and the disappearing and the dramatic gestures and filling people in.

But ultimately they'd won. People returned. And there was celebrating and breakfast.

Returning to Roswell and finding everything the way it was supposed to be had been a relief. Finding out all her exams were over when she'd returned the Las Vegas a day later had been an even bigger relief in some ways. It meant she had more time to focus on catching up with all the holiday planning that had been disrupted by the world almost ending.

Three days later, after a massive online shopping spree and an afternoon spent decorating the apartment, Isabel was willing to admit she'd caught up as best she could and that it was time to relax.

With a bridal magazine.

Beware the OCD organizer girl on a mission.
Keeping in mind what she'd been told at the library, Isabel kept a wary eye out on the way back to Ronan's house.

She didn't notice anyone suspicious and maybe she was just being paranoid, but it seemed like the streets were a little emptier then normal.

Relieved to finally be back in familiar surroundings, Isabel poked around the kitchen and tried to figure out what to make for dinner.

izzyalienqueen: (can't solve this puzzle)
Current circumstances meant Isabel had developed a new habit, grabbing her phone from the nightstand and checking for messages before she'd even gotten out of bed. Now that Parker was in Fandom, she didn't expect many more messages. This morning she was wrong.

The first message made Isabel laugh. She remembered Cuban Pete.

The second...not so much with the laughing there

Isabel wasn't surprised when she tried to call back and the call didn't go through.

This was not going to be a good day.
Somehow Isabel had managed to keep the conversation fairly light when she'd met Parker in the Perk the night before. The other girl was too travel-lagged and over-tired to deal with news about missing friends and Isabel figured she'd appreciate a night's sleep before having to face the current reality.

Because reality was better faced with food, Isabel was in the kitchen quietly making breakfast. And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

[For the housemates or anyone else looking for the alien girl. One of the kidlets is sick so I'll be home and pretty much around all day.]
