"They were right when they told me it would get easier," Parker said, picking up her lighter again. "Well. Without the constant cognitive dissonance, anyway. School's harder, but I actually like that. Works is... what it is." She went quiet, thinking about the adjustments she'd made, wondering if Isabel would make them as thoroughly as she had.
