Room 406, Morning

The lack of a tree in her room had been bothering her, so Isabel spent Christmas Eve handwavily setting up a small tree on Xander's old desk. There's a stack of presents still to be distributed.

The door's open, the carols are playing and Isabel is wearing her penguin pajamas waiting for people to stop by.

Dawn giggled. "That's one way to put it. More like Hunter picked Dean." More giggling. "I swear, we were on our way out with Scout, and zooom, this little gray streak of fur climbs right up his pants."

"Sometimes I wonder who adopts who," Isabel replied. "I had no attention of coming home with anything the day I went with Jack. The next thing I know, I'm buying cat food." Annie perked her head up from her nest of blankets as if to say Who? Me?

Dawn grinned and trailed some ribbon on the floor for Annie to chase, if she was so inclined. "I'm pretty sure Dean didn't have a choice in the matter. Hunter wanted Dean and that's all there was to it."

Annie yawned, stretched then slowly strutted over in Dawn's direction. "I don't know, I'm amused by the thought of macho Dean cuddling a kitten."

"The two of them are sooooo adorable with their new pets," Dawn gleed. Then she started bobbing the ribbon.

"I'm sure. Are you taking lots of pictures? For the awe-moments? They'll need pictures of them as babies. Cause the next thing you know, they'll be full grown." After a moment of disinterest, Annie pounced.

"I don't have a camera," she shook her head, tugging gently at the ribbon, "but I think that'll be taken care of. Many baby kitten and puppy pictures in their future, I bet."

"If you want to get really carried away one day, I can help you make baby books for them," Isabel offered. "First walk, first catnip coma." Annie the ferocious beast tried to wrestle the ribbon away.

Dawn laughed at Annie's antics, but didn't let go, pulling and tugging and bobbing the ribbon. "Baby books? What are those?" Maybe she should make three...

"I've only seen one, because my experience with babies if very limited thank god," Isabel said. "But my mom's friend was making one for her daughter. It's a book that marks the hightlights of a baby's first year. Maybe we could do an animal themed one."
