Even though she'd only been gone a week Fandom time, Isabel was cleaning her room like it really had been left closed up for six months. Reorganizing drawers and closets, scouring the bathroom, dusting every available surface, meant she didn't have to think about last night's conversation, or the worried voicemails and emails from her parents she's avoiding answering. It meant she could pretend she wasn't woken up by nightmares this morning.

The door was open, the radio was blaring the Rolling Stones, and Isabel was on her hands and knees in the bathroom, attacking the grout with a toothbrush.

"Just a bit. It was mostly metaphorical though. He deserved it," Isabel chuckled. "I love him to death but sometimes he can be such an idiot."

"They're pretty basic," she said, taking a seat on her bed. "I wake up thinking I'm back there," in the cell. "That being back here is just been a rather pleasant dream."

He nodded and took a careful seat beside her. "They sound similar to mine. I dream about being back at Hogwarts when I went home last. They're not very pleasant."

Isabel remembered what Cedric had told her about his trip home and nodded. "How do you deal with it?"

"Most of the time, it's a matter of getting up and touching things around my room to convince myself that I'm not back there, that I'm not facing a Dementor," he said quietly. "The dreams still come, no matter how long ago it happened."

"That's what I've been doing. It helps some but its hard. There's stuff that happened...it makes it hard to tell the difference, even when I'm awake." She shrugged, "I can only hope it'll get better at some point."
