izzyalienqueen | Desert Outside Roswell, Monday night till early Tuesday morning

There were a million different things that still needed to be done in order to get ready for the wedding and Isabel should probably still be in Neptune to take care of them.

But it was the night of the best meteor shower of the year. And more importantly, it was time spent alone with Wyatt. Between his getting settled in San Francisco and her going crazy with wedding plans, they'd barely gotten to spend any time together over the last few weeks.

Which was why, when Wyatt turned up at the Echolls mansion, it had only taken a minute's consideration before she'd tossed the clipboard and her cell phone aside to go and pack for a night out.

Now, as she unloaded the camping stuff they'd borrowed from her parents, Isabel could only smile. "This was a very, very good idea."

Definitely very messy, as Wyatt nibbled his end of the marshmallow, which of course led straight into kissing Isabel.

It was a very sticky kiss. Not that Isabel was complaining. No, not at all. "Tasty," she said nipping at his lip.

"Very," Wyatt agreed, his tongue darting out to lick some of the white sticky mess (not dirty) from her lower lip.

She shivered and tightened her hold on Wyatt's hip. "We just need some chocolate syrup and it could be a new way to eat s'mores."

"That can be arranged," Wyatt said mischievously.

"I bet. But let's hold off on that till we're someplace with a shower." Because while Isabel knew it would be fun, she didn't feel like having every insect and critter in the desert attempting to crawl into the sleeping bags with them. "I'm adventurous. But that's pushing it."

"Spoilsport," Wyatt teased, kissing away the last of the marshmallow. "All right, I suppose we can enjoy them the old fashioned away."

"Spoilsport nothing! Do you know what lives out here?" she asked, waving around at the surrounding desert and then pointing towards the newly dark sky. "And now it's dark! They'll be looking for someplace warm to sleep. So yes, old fashioned it is tonight."

"Black-footed ferrets?" Wyatt asked, looking around.

"No, ferrets are cuddly," Isabel laughed. "But, they're too far north from here. I was thinking more along the lines of snakes and other creepy critters."

"No snakes allowed," Wyatt agreed. "Just aliens and witches."

"Once again, you win with the best plan of the night. Some marshmallows, the traditional way?" she asked, not moving away just yet. "And then making wishes on shooting stars?"

"Already got my wishes," Wyatt murmured, moving in for another slow kiss.

Wyatt was intently checking to make sure there was no residual goo on Isabel anywhere. Nope, none on her lips. Better check her neck out.

Isabel admired Wyatt's diligence and tipped her head to make it easier for him to check. In the mean time, her hands started to push his shirt up and out of the way.

Her neck was marshmallow-free. But, oh, what was that? A white smudge on the top of her chest. He cleaned that up, then started to investigate lower.

It was time to do some exploring of her own. At least Isabel would, once she got his shirt out of the way. And if she didn't keep getting distracted by how nice Wyatt's investigating felt.

"So outdoors?" she breathed. It's not as if they hadn't made out in the great outdoors before. But somehow Isabel was pretty sure that things were going a little further tonight. They'd missed each other too much.

"If you don't mind the audience of ferrets and snakes," Wyatt said, shifting his position so Isabel could ease his shirt off. Her shirt was getting in the way of his search for marshmallow debris, so he reached down to tug that up.

"As long as they don't start giving running commentary they're okay." Isabel tugged Wyatt's shirt off, then, just a little eager, pulled her own shirt off and tossed it aside. Hopefully a ferret wouldn't run off with it.

"Well hello there handsome."

"Hey, gorgeous," Wyatt said. "Wow, I have missed this."

"It's been almost a month," she pointed out as she trailed her fingers down his chest. "Max says I'm cranky. Gee I wonder why."

"Maybe I can help you relax a bit," Wyatt said, nuzzling her chest.

"It might take a while. I've been very, very tense." Fortunately that feeling was very quickly going away. Isabel sank back onto the sleeping bags, more then willing to let Wyatt help her relax.

"Good thing I'm young," Wyatt said. "I've got stamina." He dipped his head lower, nuzzling and nibbling every sensitive spot he came across. It may have been awhile, but he still knew exactly where to touch her.
