The problem with being too jazzed up to sleep after working a busy Saturday night was that there was nothing worthwhile watching on TV.

Isabel knew she should change the channel. Any movie that featured the line "He planted the seed of the beast in my body" in the opening scene was truly going to be bad. She could feel her brain cells dying as the minutes slipped by.

But she couldn't look away. "Oh honey, you really are too dumb to live," she muttered as the female lead accepted a ride from the creepy stranger with an accent.

"That's about as logical as anything else in this movie," she mused. "It works for me."

Reaching up, Isabel gave Wyatt a tug to pull him over the back of the couch onto her lap. "And yes, I do have you."

"Hi," Wyatt said, making himself comfy. "Thought I'd just drop in for a visit. I didn't know you'd be busy with an evil vampire."

"Bad cable on a Saturday night. It's like a trainwreck, I can't look away." Which wasn't entirely true. She did lean down for a kiss. "Hi there handsome."

"To tell the truth, I'm hiding," Wyatt said. "Excalibur came to life again. I called Ronan and ran." He looked at the TV again. "Although I'm wondering now if my sword trying to flirt with me is preferable to the terrible acting in this movie."

"You can hide here any time. Let them have their fun. I'll send Ronan some chocolate to thank him."

Except Isabel suddenly had a thought and remembered last summer's alumni gathering with weetiny children.

"Tell me he's going to be careful. No pregnant swords?"

"I warned him," Wyatt said, nodding. "He'd better use protection. I don't want my sword out of commission for nine months." Because of course he couldn't risk using her while she was pregnant!

"Better your sword then anything else," Isabel pointed. "There could wind up being some magical male pregnancy and since it's your sword..."

"There are no magical brownies involved," Wyatt said solemnly. "Never gonna happen."

"No, I'll have to be the one to do all the heavy lifting." And she'd love every minute of it. "You'd better bring me lots of ice cream."

Wyatt nuzzled her neck. "Ice cream, pickles, whatever your heart desires," he said.

"Spicy stuff. Lots of it."

Unfortunately the movie was still pretty distracting. "She could have climbed out the back of the cave? Damn. Way to go with the dumb blonde cliche."

"Victoria's going to be born breathing fire, isn't she?" Wyatt sighed.

He glanced back to the movie. "So she just sat there on the Bed, Bath, and Beyond bedding and waited instead of just...walking out? Wow."

"We're doomed." That particular mix of alien and angelic genes was going to run rings around them.

"Maybe it was comfortable?" she shrugged. "This movie is supposed to be over in about another ten minutes. I sort of fear how they're going to wrap it up."

"The sad thing is, instead of putting me to sleep. I'm still wide awake." Isabel let her hand drift across the front of Wyatt's jeans,squeezed lightly and grinned. "Fortunately it looks like you are too."

"I just start thinking about what you would do in a situation like that," Wyatt grinned, running his hand up and down her arm. "And it's hot."

"You mean the part where I'd TK his cheesy vamp butt into the wall a few time?" she grinned. "And then set him on fire?"

"So much hotter than a whimpering damsel in distress," Wyatt said, ducking his head to nuzzle her neck again.

"I'll save my own ass, thank you very much." Except for the times when she couldn't. Then all help was appreciated.

Isabel shifted to stretch out next to Wyatt. "And I'll save yours if you need it." And her drifted lower to grab said ass. "It's very nice and worth saving."

Wyatt's hands did a little exploring of their own. "My ass appreciates it," he murmured. Both the saving and the groping, and it was evident that other body parts appreciated it as well.

Very evident. Which made her smile.

"I think we're both wearing too many clothes." Wyatt more then Isabel since she'd already changed into comfy boxers and t-shirt.

Wyatt drew away from Isabel just long enough to pull his shirt over his head. "Better?" he said.

"Much," she murmured before moving close to explore all that warm, smooth skin.

Nibble, nibble, nibble...

"Mmmm," Wyatt said. He would've been perfectly content to enjoy the nibbling except....

"No fair, you still have your shirt on," he pointed out.

"What's the rush?" Isabel wondered, trailing kisses and nibbles down his chest.

"By all means, take your time," Wyatt said, running his fingers through her hair.

"Oh I intend to." It was a promise.

"Did I ever mention?" she asked in between kisses, "How much I love when you do that?"

Mmmm...abs....

And oh look! Denim. Something was going to have to be done about that.
