It was late when Isabel finally came in from the campfire and she was proud of herself for staying out in the dark as long as she did. As far as Friday's went, today had been a success. Flight had been fun. She enjoyed spending time with Steve Peter and she'd gotten her letter mailed.

Still a bit too keyed up to sleep, she cleaned up then curled up on her bed to read.

"Good," Parker said decidedly. "Glad to hear it. The library thing sucks, though. That place is such a pain in the ass to clean up." She took a sip of her coffee and stopped at the corner of Red Square, trying to decide where she wanted to go. "So, did you get my e-mail, or should I tell you everything that's in that?"

"Give me a second and I'll see." She reached over and flipped on the laptop, quickly scanning over her inbox and opening the email. "Don't start smoking. I'll have to to thwap you."

"But I waaant to," Parker whimpered, sitting down on the steps leading up to St. Basil's, and eating her snack in neat bites. "You have no idea the temptations I'm being subjected to here, Isabel. No idea."

"No! It's bad. You'll have stinky breath if you kiss anyone," Isabel told her. "No temptation is worth that."

Parker snorted. "There is no one here to kiss, damnit. You did read what I said about Anton, didn't you?" She snarled, and a passerby crossed the street. "I want to drown him in the lake, Isabel. Spastic little--"

"I did yes. At least wait till after the deal is done and the papers are signed before you kill him," she warned. "Otherwise it'll probably fall through. And your dad will not be happy."

Parker pouted. "He's not being hit on by a Russian troll-woman. Who's half a foot shorter than him." She sighed. "I suppose I could go flirt with the guards at Lenin's Tomb again. They're not too bad, really. Hell-ooooo."

She blinked, watching a very cute guy walk by.

"You don't know that. There could be a babushka attempting to romance him somewhere." Isabel sighed in sympathy then perked up. "Hello? Hello who?"

Parker stared at the phone, then blinked. "Are you trying to upset me? She averted her gaze back to the pretty man who'd just walked by, and glanced over at her at the 'hellooooo', then grinned. "Pretty man out for a morning walk, apparently. Reading Pravda. Waiting for the light. Good to know Moscow hasn't exported *all the Alex Krycek types."

"Well what are you letting him get away for?" she asked. "Go chase! Ask him for coffee or something!"

Parker snickered, and got up from the steps, and started to follow. "You know that's not the M.O. The M.O. is to get them to ask me for coffee," she said striding toward the corner.

"Oh, duh! I know that," Isabel laughed, wondering if she'd be able to hear the whole conversation over the phone. "See if he speaks English so I can at understand it."

Parker managed to catch up to the corner, and said into the phone, "Right, like I'd leave you out of it?" Then turned to smile brightly at the guy with the newpapaper. "//Excuse me,//" she said in very badly accented Russian, much worse than usual, "//Can you tell me which way is Hermitage?//"

He pulled down his sunglasses a little, then answered in accented but understandable English, "It is on the other side of the square. Two blocks. It does not open for another hour. Too bad."

"Oh, thank you. You speak English?" Parker cocked an eyebrow at him. "I apologize for my Russian."

"No, yours isss, very good." He looked at his wristwatch with regret. "I would show you the way, but, am late for an appointment." He cast her a look of regret as he hailed a taxi. "But welcome to Moscow, Miss...?"

"Parker." She smirked a little, and stepped back from the curb. "Thanks anyway."

"No, thank you--" He paused. "Perhaps, we share a cab, yes?"

"One second." Parker took a couple steps away and whispered into the phone, "Score!"

Isabel was giggling madly. "You go girl! I'll call you tomorrow for an update."

"Dos vidanya, Isabel," Parker purred. "And definitely! Oh, thanks," she said to the guy as he held the door for her. "Bye!"
