It hadn't been the trip to New York Isabel planned on. But when Zero said Peter was in trouble, she didn't think twice about going. Fortunately Steve Peter was understanding about the change in plans. They'd arrived in New York, rescued Peter, and unfortunately had to make a trip to the hospital. It was only after Peter insisted that he had everything under control that Isabel and Zero reluctantly returned to Fandom Sunday afternoon.

Sunday evening found Isabel slowly packing up, getting ready for the move back to the dorms.

[ooc: open!]
As always, Monday was busy. Isabel flipped through a selection of DVDs, trying to figure out what to watch for the night.
The rain literally put a damper on Isabel's plans for a campfire. Forced to stay inside, she sat on her bed with her laptop and played many rounds of solitare.

[oh so open...]
It was late when Isabel finally came in from the campfire and she was proud of herself for staying out in the dark as long as she did. As far as Friday's went, today had been a success. Flight had been fun. She enjoyed spending time with Steve Peter and she'd gotten her letter mailed.

Still a bit too keyed up to sleep, she cleaned up then curled up on her bed to read.

[ooc: For a phone call, but open]
After getting a few hours sleep this morning and then a handwavey because OMG RL kicked my ass today trip to town to talk to the sheriff and have ice cream with Peter, Isabel returned to the cabin well before dark and sat down to write a letter.

Dear Jack )

After a busy day, and an eventful and scary evening, Isabel finally made it back to the cabins well after the sun came up.

With a yawn, she sat down on her bed.

[ooc: massive slowplay till probably later this afternoon. I'm around.]
The number of candles Isabel had burning to light up the living room would probably make a fire marshall nervous but she wasn't about to put them out.

Her laptop battery had run down, so she settled for sitting on the floor and playing solitare the old fashioned way. With a deck of cards.

[open!]
At some point Isabel would probably have to apologize to any of her cabinmates for the shrieking. But it was a perfectly natural reaction to stepping into a shower while still half asleep and finding out that the water was ice cold. Fortunately the hot water heater was accessible and Isabel was able to use her powers to heat up the water it contained.

After her shower she left a note on the bathroom door, See me if you want hot water for a shower. Isabel

Heading back to her alcove and relieved to find her books were no longer clucking, Isabel sprawled on her bed and thought back over the last few days.

The good - Campfires, spending time with old friends, and meeting new people.

The bad - Three workshops in one day. Including one with Creepy Guy. Missing people.

Passing a hand over her hair, Isabel made sure it was dry and then tried to figure out what to do for the day. Saying good-bye to Sam was a must but Isabel was more then willing to delay that as long as possible. Realizing it was Wednesday, Isabel decided to drop by the library and see what was happening there and if there was going to be a summer schedule.

[ooc: will be a linkdrop when I get some time later. Cabinmates can handwave asking her to heat up the water, otherwise I'm around (if a bit slowish due to RL) Um yeah, plans have changed. AFK till around 4ish EST.]
After waking up and remembering the mostly depressing events of yesterday, Isabel decided that the last place she wanted to be for the day was the cabin. After grabbing sunscreen and a few bottles of water, she headed out into the quiet of the preserve for the day.

As the sun set Isabel returned to the cabin, got cleaned up and stretched out on her bed. Outside she could hear the sounds of people calling to one another as the evening campfires started. At some point, she supposed she'd have to get out and meet people other then her new little sister. But not tonight.

[Mostly establishy. But pokeable for a bit.]
It was weird being back in the cabins. Used to the quiet of her room, the noises of other people breathing and moving about as they got ready for bed reminded Isabel of her time in the Royalist camp in Antar.

Not willing to dwell on that unhappy time, she focused on the events of the last two days: laughing with Katara, giving Jack her memories, John and Aeryn's engagement party, the move to the cabin.

Really the only unhappy event had been saying good-bye to Peter. But given her new belated birthday present, Isabel wasn't willing to rule out a road trip before August.

She refused to think about what she was going to have to do tomorrow.

Waving her hand, she turned on the star light, then stretched out on her bed and closed her eyes.

[ooc: Establishy only as I am going to bed. My apologies to the radio people. *offers rum*]
