The rain literally put a damper on Isabel's plans for a campfire. Forced to stay inside, she sat on her bed with her laptop and played many rounds of solitare.
"Helloooooo?" Dawn called from the doorway of the cabin. She was soaking wet and dripping, almost as if she'd been playing in the thunderstorm. "Isabeeeeeel? Are you here?"
"Which is why I'm in here instead of out near the fire like I'd orginally planned. I can dry you off if you'd like," she offered. "I wouldn't want to see you get sick. Not when I've been making plans and want you in on them."
"There was a discussion of pizza," Isabel explained. "It evolved into Peter offering to treat me to real New York pizza. And then he suggested bringing Gavin, Karal and Sam along. Which is great, they're really nice guys, but that's just too much testosterone for me to take on my own."
"Gavin and Karal are new. But they're both very nice," she smiled. "You'll like them. And it'll be fun to introduce them to pizza." There was another question?
Isabel looked down and shrugged. "He's nice. We went bowling and he took me to the clinic after I had my run-in with the psycho in the woods. And then we camped out in the dorms after that because there was no way in hell I was going to try to come back out here after that."
"Serious? No. We're just hanging out and having fun," she said, shaking her head. "And I went to the sheriff! I wasn't going to gather the mob to go looking for this guy."
Isabel rolled her eyes and pulled up the sleeve of her t-shirt to show the bandage on her upper arm. "Some stitches. I didn't get out of the way of the knife fast enough. But after that I sent him flying into a tree."
"Yeah, I was. That guy wouldn't stop. And all I kept thinking was I'm blonde and not a virgin. The rules say I have to die." She shook her head, "Stupid, I know."
"Okay, I mean he got the whole idea of what I was talking about," she said. "But I think I'll need to show him a movie just to be sure. But I think I'll stick with a comedy."
"Jack bequeathed me his TV and DVD player," she explained. "He couldn't take them with him and he knew I would put them to use. Of course I'd rather have him back but..."
Tori was up and about and decided to wander around in the rain and see if anyone else was around.
She stopped in the doorway of the Platypus cabin, wondering if anybody was within. Yes, Tori was soaked but she didn't care, since she loved the water.
"Just been out and about, spent some time at the beach and hanging out around the campground." Tori shrugged. "Glad that the psycho with the machete was taken care of." She admitted. "Oh, yeah, I guess. I'm pretty much soaked to the bone." Tori chuckled, not that she minded.
"I've been hanging here most of the weekend since RL killed me. Plus I'd had a run in with the psycho the other night, so that encouraged me to stay indoors." Isabel passed a hand over Tori's clothes to dry them. "This way you can sit and not drip."
[RL calls. Massive SP till this evening. Sorry...]
"You did?" Tori hadn't heard about that. "You're okay, right? I mean, you seem okay." Yeah, she was worried. Granted Jason had been taken care of, but still. "Oh wow, thanks." That was a really cool power.
[It's okay, I'm going to be on and off all day, too. *hugs*]
"Just some stitches," she shrugged, motioning to her arm. "I didn't get out of the way fast enough. And no problem. Glad I could help. I wouldn't want to see you catch a cold or something from sitting around being damp."
"You and me both," Isabel said. "All I could think of was every cheesy horror movie I'd ever seen. And they were all telling me I was due to be a victim."
Tori nodded. "I would've thought of the exact same thing. But, we're definitely not victims. No way." She smiled reassuringly. "And I totally think you proved that."
"Only until I got to town. Then I admit, I was a little freaked out when Peter found me," she said. "And I insisted we stay in the dorms until the sun came up."
"Hey, you had every right to be freaked out considering what happened." Tori chuckled. "I would have been, too. Well, I'm glad Peter found you, that you weren't alone." She really was. "I don't think I would've wanted to go anywhere near the woods after that."
"I made myself go out to the Chupacabra campfire Friday night. But being with people made it less scary. Now that it's over, I won't have a problem. Enough scary stuff though," Isabel smiled. "What are you doing for the summer? TAing?"
"Yeah, that's always good." Tori chuckled. "Okay. Yeah, I'm a TA for Phoebe's workshop and for Kenpachi." She nodded. "I'm also working at Book Haven on Tuesdays."

"What would you think about a road trip?"
